Francis Landry of Lourdes (Memramcook East) passed away at the Dr. Georges L. Dumont University Hospital Center on Sunday, August 25, 2013, at the age of 78, after a lengthy illness. Born on October 2, 1934 in Lourdes, he was the son of the late Frank Landry and the late Angèle Leblanc.
 He worked as a Certified Welder, Plummer, Pipe Fitter (Local 325). He worked mostly for George’s Plumbing and Heating, company for which he became co-owner and president until his early retirement in 1992. Then he realized his childhood dream and build his saw mill which, with his maple syrup production, he operated for over 10 years under the name of “Moulin Saindoux et Produits”. He had many passions including working on his wood lot, summers at the cottage and most importantly spending time with his wife, children and grand-children. He was a member of the Club D’âge D’or de Memramcook, and the Chevaliers de Colomb de Memramcook East.
He is survived by his wife Juliette (Richard) Landry; four daughters, Anne (Barry Martz) Toronto, Francine (Liam McGuigan) Dieppe, Marise (Jeff Carter) Moncton, Chantale (Chris Barry) Moncton; five sons, Thomas (Nancy Roberts) Moncton, Mario (Gisèle) Dieppe, Léon (Denise) Memramcook, Serge (Jill Holmes) Moncton, Martin Landry Montréal; four sisters, Bernice (Alyre Leblanc) Memramcook, Roberte (Sandford Robichaud) Dieppe, Aline (Yvon Babineau) Memramcook, Anne-Marie (Danny O’Carroll) Dieppe; two brothers, Alyre (Anita) Landry Memramcook, Médard (Odette) Landry Memramcook, plus extended Richard Family and 17 grandchildren; Montana Martz, Etienne, Geneviève and Patrick McGuigan, Alina, Olivier and Anna Landry, Guylaine and Laurent Landry, Simon and Erica Landry, Sara Judson, Brigitte and Caroline Barry, Mélia, Thomas and Calleb Landry; and a great grandchild Ella Nicholson.
Visitation will be held at Dupuis Funeral Home and the funeral mass will be held at St-Thomas de Memramcook church, St-Joseph on Thursday August 29, 2013 at 11: 00 a. m. Interment will be held in Notre-Dame-de-Lourdes cemetery, Memramcook East.
